The region of Lindesnes has 90km of coastline with tiny ports and sandy beaches nestled in its deep indentations; numerous little islands and reefs line the shore. The moors of the hinterland are inhabited by moose. Since 1655, the lighthouse has presided over the southernmost point of the country, 2 518km from North Cape.
