Bibendum
Those arriving at the Lofoten archipelago from the Vesterålen Islands will set foot on Fiskebol, before heading along the austere Austnesfjorden to Svolvær. If you prefer to come by boat via Vest Fjord, you will see the dark mass of Lofotveggen (the so-called Lofoten wall) literally barring the horizon. Stark and rugged, this natural marvel surges up out from the sea. Then the tiny villages nestling at the foot of the mountains can be made out, surrounded by grassy expanses.
