Vesterålsmuseet is the headquarters of the Nordmuseet, which includes nine museums throughout Narvik and the archipelago. It encompasses an ethnographical museum that offers a touching reconstruction of daily life in bygone days: classroom, general store, fishermen's lives, factories, craftsmen's workshops… Visitors can also see (opposite) the furnished manor house of the Frederiksen industrialist family.
