Running along the canal behind the Kristine Church (1648), Göteborg's stadsmuseum is housed in the former offices and warehouses of the Swedish India Company (1750-62). There are 3 collections: archaeology (from prehistoric times to the Vikings), urban history (following commercial activities, including a remarkable collection of porcelain) and daily life (beautiful furniture from different periods), and lastly industry (especially port activity and derivatives).
