The church is the city's most characteristic landmark. It stands high over the city, and offers a fine view of Göteborg. Built between 1914 and 1919 by Sigfrid Ericson, it is a fine example of Swedish national romantic architecture. The interior boasts fine wooden beams in the high central nave that contrast with the whitewashed walls, and each pillar is uniquely sculptured.
