This large, white church, familiarly known as "the kneeling bride", stands on the edge of Lake Siljan. It was built in the 13C and rebuilt in the 17C, then a tower was added a century later. The triumphal cross dates from the 14C, but the altarpiece and Dalecarlian paintings that decorate the organ loft are from the 18C. The 87 parish stables, tightly wedged against one another, are a reminder of the days when people went to church by horse-drawn carriage.
