From Baie Lazare, a village dominated by the neo-Gothic church of Saint-François-d’Assise, a small road (4 km long, which the most valiant can hike) goes through forests, plantations and typical hamlets, far from the tourist hustle and bustle. It leads to Val d'Endor Road which runs East to West across the island from Anse Bougainville to Anse Gaulettes.
