This is the emblematic place of worship for Singapore’s Muslims. Sultan Mosque (1914) dominates Kampong Glam with its frequently photographed golden dome. A long rug - over 4 km -covers the prayer hall, and the lighting fixtures are reminiscent of the ones in the Great Mosque in Mecca.
