Perched on a rocky outcrop proudly overlooking the surrounding valley, the remains of the impressive fortified castle of Spis, the largest in Central Europe, is a testimony to the architectural changes between the 12C and 18C. In summer its romantic ruins are the backdrop for various medieval festivals.
