Located in the heart of Karst, the astounding 20km-long cave system of the Postojna Cave attracts tourists in droves. Close by are the Skocjan Caves, which though less visited actually constitute a more spectacular site and indeed have been classed a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Both caves abound with natural beauty.
