This garden run by the National Botanical Institute, covering over 300 ha around the Crocodile River, was designed to reflect the different kinds of vegetation on the high grassy plains. A network of marked trails takes you on various thematic tours, including wildflowers, succulents and cycads. You’ll learn about herbs used in traditional medicine and about hundreds of birds species before reaching the spectacular areas around Witpoortjie waterfall, and who knows, maybe even the Geological Trail.
