Antelopes, mountain zebras, baboons, leopards, birds and whales are the main animals that one can see in De Hoop Nature & Marine Reserve. This park, located in the southern Overberg not far from the mouth of the Breede, covers a territory of more than 30 000ha on both land and sea. Fynbos, small scrubland bushes, are the main terrestrial vegetation. A paradise for naturalists, hikers, bikers and snorkelling enthusiasts.
