Time difference

There is a 9-hour time difference between South Korea and the UK and Ireland in winter and an 8-hour time difference in summer. When it is 12 noon in London, it is 9pm in Seoul in winter and 8pm in summer.

Documents

A passport valid for at least six months after your return is required for stays of up to 90 days. A visa is required for longer stays.

Health

Recommended vaccinations: DT Polio, hepatitis A and B and typhoid.

Anti-malaria medication may be required depending on the region to be visited.

Insurance is advisable (automatically provided by some bank cards). An E111 card should be carried by citizens of the European Union.
