Agüero Travel guide
Agüero : Michelin's recommendations
Set back from the road running between Huesca and the Pyrenees, Agüero is a peaceful medieval village. Fortified in olden times, it has retained its steep narrow streets and a fine Romanesque church dedicated to St James. It owes much of its character, however, to the impressive sugar loaf hills (mallos) dominating the area.

The Romanesque church is one kilometre from Agüero. Its three aisles are covered by three separate stone roofs, and it has a fine carved tympanum, featuring an Epiphany and Joseph Asleep. Note also Salome's Dance, carved on the left of the doorway.
