Aguilar de Campóo : Michelin's recommendations
In this region at the northern tip of the Meseta the landscape consists of limestone escarpments, where you can see the fold caused by the formation of the Cantabrian mountains. Standing on one of its hills, Aguilar castle has stood the test of time. The town below retains its old charm, with gateways with pointed arches crowned by occasional sculptures, and noble houses with façades embellished with coats of arms. Some 2.5km to the west, the vast Aguilar reservoir is a water sports centre.
