The Arabs built an alcázar here, which was taken by King Sanchez I Ramirez at the end of the 11C. The northern gallery of the romanesque cloister has preserved its lovely capitals representing scenes from the Bible: the sacrifice of Isaac, Balaam with the ass, Adam and Eve, the Last Supper... all sculpted in an archaic and rich manner. Inside the church, you will admire a fine romanesque Christ from the 12C.
