This elegant village bathed in light stands on a hill in the Sierra de Mijas among orchards, citrus plantations and olive groves. Take time to stroll through its old quarter, which still bears remnants of the Moorish ramparts. Its network of narrow lanes is lined with whitewashed houses resplendent with flowers. The Cobertizo arch is part of the old Moorish walls. The Vera Cruz hermitage is an unusual 20C neo-Gothic building.
