Almonte : Michelin's recommendations

Almonte is well known because of its proximity to the Doñana national park, the village of El Rocío (famous for its pilgrimage), and the popular beach at Matalascañas. This village of whitewashed streets embellished with wrought-iron balconies is also a wine-growing centre renowned for its white wine (Condado de Huelva). Almonte's two main buildings, the colonial-style church and the town hall, with its elegant gallery of arches, stand on the Plaza de la Vírgen del Rocío.
