Costa Tropical : Michelin's recommendations

Bibendum
The name refers to the one hundred or so kilometres of coastline in the province of Granada, from La Herradura to La Rábita. These climate conditions (subtropical to be precise) have enabled this area to develop crops that are found nowhere else in Europe: avocados, mangos and kiwis in particular are grown here; meanwhile, the sugar cane crop, the heady aroma of which used to embalm the atmosphere at the slightest gust of wind, seems to have lost ground. Unfortunately somewhat disfigured by tourism-related urbanisation, the coast nonetheless still has a superb village, Salobreña, as well as small creeks on the steep coast that are harder to reach.
