This tranquil village, Moorish in origin as its name would suggest, has retained its old quarter. Its main attractions are its compact whitewashed houses standing alongside elegant neo-Classical and Baroque buildings such as the Vera Cruz chapel, the church of Nuestra Señora de la Victoria, the 17C church of Santa María Magdalena, and the church of San Roque, with its 18C altarpieces.
