Benahavís : Michelin's recommendations

Benahavís, a village on the Costa del Sol, stands slightly inland between the sea and the mountains on the banks of the River Guadalmina, near the pretty Las Angosturas gorge. Its name testifies to its Moorish origins. Sights of interest here include the remains of a castle (the Castillo de Montmayor) and several watchtowers which served as part of the old Muslim defensive system. This small resort boasts a large number of restaurants set up by a group of British people in the 1980s.
