Bubión : Michelin's recommendations

Nestling at an altitude of 1 296m in the Alpujarras region, Bubión lies in a spectacular gorge, the Barranco de Poqueira. It was an important centre of Morisco resistance during the revolt in 1568-9, led by Fernando de Válor. The whitewashed houses and terrace roofs give the village a North African feel.
