This ancient Roman origin fortress stands on the highest point of Cazorla. It was restored by the Arabs first then again in the 14C. The keep has fine views over the town and the surrounding area. A chapel contains a Romanesque Christ of Byzantine origin surrounded by twelve paintings of the Apostles.
