The church was rebuilt in an "eclectic" style at the beginning of the 20C. The cloisters, however, have retained their 15C architecture together with a long 17C frieze made of azulejos (ceramic tiles) illustrating the history of the sanctuary. All the cherubs are different. Note also, in the corners, the arms of the Kingdom of Spain. There's a fine Romanesque mullioned window on one of the sides of the cloisters, dating back to the earlier construction in the 10C.
