The «Diputación», the regional assembly, occupies an 18C building, the old convent of Mercy, which was founded in the 13C. The impressive facade has a large central body, two lower wings, all painted in imitation white marble. The main white marble door opens between wreathed columns, a shield and two belfries. Notice inside the patio, in the same style as the facade, the marble staircase and the Baroque church decorated with plaster mouldings.
