It owes its name to the statuette which crowns the 16C fountain situated at one end. This square was formerly very busy as horses and mules were sold there. Notice also on the square the Poulain's inn, very well described by Cervantès in Don Quixote, which is now the Central cultural office. Don't miss the Fine Arts museum and the Julio Romero de Torres Museum which share the same patio laid out as a garden.
