In 13C St Ferdinand III reconquered Cordoba and assisted in the building of fourteen churches known as Fernandine churches. Having abandoned all ornamentation, the sober facade, divided by four solid buttresses, shows off the beauty and the robustness of the stone. The splayed doorway has some simple mouldings lightly broken in the early ogive style. The rose window was restored and the tower rebuilt in the 16C.
