This church was founded in the 13C under the reign of Alfonso X. The current building dates back to the 15C and is representative of the end of the Gothic period, which coincided with the reign of the Catholic Kings. The expressive 17C Sun Portal, which opens sideways onto Plaza de España , has a number of both Plateresque and baroque decorations. The interior, which has been restored on many occasions, is a graceless mixture of styles.
