Wine gate : Michelin's recommendations

Bibendum
This gate has no defensive role, unlike the previous one, but marks the access to the medina. It was built in the 14C and its name comes from the Christian era: from 1554 it was here that merchants came to unload the wine for consumption by Alhambra's inhabitants. As it was royal territory, wine was not taxed here, and the people of Granada often came to stock up.
