Santa Ana District : Michelin's recommendations

Bibendum
Set slightly apart from the centre, to the east of the historic town, this area can be explored by starting at Calle Ancha. Calle Tarrago y Mateos then Calle Mira de Amezcua on the right lead you to Calle Santa Ana. Here you are in the heart of the old Moorish quarter. All along the narrow alleyways, the white houses, which give off the scents of cooking and Andalusian flowers transport you back to another era. At the centre stands the Church of Santa Anna, built in the 15C on the site of a mosque; in front of the façade, the Renaissance fountain dates from 1567.
