This dazzlingly whitewashed village is situated in the Sierra de Hornachuelos, 18km northeast of Palma del Río. The village has preserved ruins of its castle and ramparts, both dating from a time when this part of Spain was a caliphate (9C-10C). The village is renowned for its game-based culinary specialities (deer and wild boar). Enjoy fine views of the surrounding mountains from its various belvederes.
