Huelva is the capital of Andalucía's westernmost province, lying between the mouths of the River Tinto and River Odiel at a crossroads leading to Portugal, Cádiz, Extremadura and Seville. Its economy is mainly based on industry, although fishing, agriculture, gastronomy and leisure activities are also important.
