Standing in the lower part of the village, the House of Columns has a façade decorated with coats of arms.

In the 8C, the Arabs chose a strategic site to erect the castle that they baptised Hisn Ashar. Now in a state of ruin, only a few parts of the wall and several towers remain.

From this mirador, you can enjoy impressive views of the entire fortress, parish churn, lake and village stretched over a long strip of land.

This area of still water from the Río Genil, known as the "lake" of Andalucia, is more than 30 km long, partly in the province of Grenada. Valdarenas beach is ideal for swimming and watersports.
