  sadly this restaurant like so many with photos of famous people is way past it's sell by date. we were early to arrive, the waitress took my wife's coat and hung it on an empty chair at our table. starter of consommé with ham and egg was abysmal....not a clear reduced beef broth with the subtly of a raw egg cooking in it with pardons and a hint of sherry, but dishwater with rice and left over scraps of indescribable meat and chopped hard boiled egg. tender but tasteless fillet beef, bright red as not hung and made worse by no seasoning. recession will hopefully kill this old fraud of an eatery off and maybe new chef can match the Beaty of a stunning city with food t match. at present Jerez is a gastronomic desert
