This is located in the popular district of San Mateo, where the Arab market used to be sited. Notice at one end the heavily laden facade of the Riquelme Palace, the only remaining part of the Renaissance building. On the Corinthian columns of the first register, notice a pair of «savages» accompanied by two lions rampant, symbolic protectors of the gates since the olden days. The Archaeological Museum and St Matthew's Church are also found on the square.
