Medina-Sidonia : Michelin's recommendations

Bibendum

Situated in the heart of the province of Cádiz, Medina Sidonia stands amid fertile countryside drained by a natural waterway near the Parque Natural de los Alcornocales. From here, El Puerto de Santa María and Vejer de la Frontera are visible on a clear day. The name has evolved from two major periods in the town’s history: the Phoenician era, when the town was known as Assido, hence Sidonia, then the Moorish period (from 712 AD), hence Medina.
