Alcazar and the old town : Michelin's recommendations

This was once the site of the Arab fortress that in 1264 became a Christian stronghold inside of which an inhabited quarter was built until the 16C. It was abandoned and used as a quarry. At its height, the area was closed off by a triple wall, of which some interesting ruins remain. The entrance to the wall is protected by the Doña Blanca watchtower.
