Garcilaso de la Vega, who the Spanish called the Inca because he was son of a Conquistador and an Inca princess, lived in this house from 1561 to 1591 and wrote some of his main books here, including History of Florida and Royal Commentary. Inside this fine example of civic architecture, note period furniture and copies.
