Nerva : Michelin's recommendations

The name of this village near the Minas de Riotinto is believed to derive from that of the Roman emperor Nerva, or from a tombstone bearing his name that was found in the local area. The surrounding landscape is almost lunar in appearance, with slag heaps standing beside pools of reddish water which give off an acrid, sulphurous odour.
