The Alpujarras

The Alpujarras

By car, 150 km, 1 day

This region of medium mountains isolated between the Sierra Nevada and the sea is situated at around 50km from the south of Granada. The tourist area of Lanjaron has a reputation for its mineral water and its 16C castle that offers a superb view over the Guadalfeo valley. Pampaneira village's liberty square is worth the detour, as well as the Moorish-inspired white villages, such as Juviles and Valor (famous for its 16C church in a Mudéjar style).
