The holy place deep in the park owes its name to the mountain in the shape of a head (cabeza) where the Virgin Mary is believed to have appeared. The chapel built to commemorate the event (not far from a monastery destroyed during the Civil War) is one of Andalucía's major Marian pilgrimage destinations.
