The east coast of Majorca is less dramatic than the Costa Rocosa, but has its own wonders: its caves. The Caves of Artà, Caves of Hams and Caves of Drach have been hewn by erosion over millennia, and their craggy features are well highlighted by artificial lighting. This coastline has other surprises like its Talayotic villages (Ses Païses), a well-preserved archaeological site (14C BC-1C BC), and pleasant sheltered inlets.
