The museum, which has replaced one of the World Fair pavilions, has two levels of ethnological pieces. Most of the exhibitions are temporary but long term. The ethnological collections come from Africa, Australia, Central America and some Asian regions. With the exception of a few Pre-columbian and Japanese collections, most of the pieces come from contemporary cultures.
