The museum is home to a contemporary art collection which features a large number of great Spanish artists from the 1950s to the present day (Tapies, Saura, Equipo Cronica, Chillida, Picasso, Miro, Dali, Mompo, Barcelo, etc.): in all, some 300 artworks are showcased in addition to a sculpture garden. The Espai Guinovart is home to an exuberant sculpture by Josep Guinovart (1927-2007), Contorn-Entorn.
