To the north of the Passeig de Gràcia, the quarter of the same name retains its little-village intimate atmosphere. The streets (often pedestrianised) are punctuated by sunlit little squares which come alive at night. Groups form everywhere composed of people of all ages, standing on terraces or perched on benches. Visit during the Festa Major which runs for 6 days around 15 August, during which every street is decorated with a degree of creativity that grows year on year.
