This Grand theatre was created in the middle of the 19C by Carthaginian Amilcar Barca. Since the start of the 20C, Many works by the greatest modern composers have been premiered here. The greatest voices of all time have been heared here, and the ballet seasons are held in extremely high regard. In 1994, a second tragic fire (the first in 1861) ravaged this theatre which based on I. Solà-Morales's plans.
