This monumental building by the American architect Richard Meyer, is one of the cultural venues which have contributed to the rehabilitation of the Barri Chino. Its vast white exhibition rooms display a permanent collection of 1 500 works from the second half of the 20C by leading Catalan artists such as Miró, Tàpies, Torres etc. High-quality temporary exhibitions and conferences are also held here. The specialist library is quite remarkable.
