This is a modern theatre which offers far more than good shows. The building in which it is housed, built by Ricardo Bofill, is an architectural synthesis of modernity and classicism. Entry is through a glass vestibule designed like a greenhouse, which encloses palm trees and other species of plants. The halls are magnificent. The one in which the most important performances are given takes the form of a classical amphitheatre; note the elegance of the decoration.
