This very popular square, situated in front of the Geometric lateral façade of the basilica of Santa Maria del Pi, is endowed with the monument erected in honour of the playwright Àngel Guimerà (1845-1924). The tourists flock to this bohemian square as its terraces are popular with painters, musicians and poets who give a picturesque touch to this part of Barcelona.
