This evocative town which has been created with houses bearing the traits of all the different regions in Spain was built by Miquel Utrillo and Xavier Noguès for the 1929 World Fair. At the centre is the Plaza Mayor. This square uniting Majorcan markets, Baroque Valencia facades, Galician houses and Castillian squares charts Spains architectural history. A collection of contemporary art, including pieces by Picasso, Miró, Dalí and other Spanish artists active from the 1950s to the present day, adds to the visit.
